Earlier this week, we took a trip down memory lane with Brandy & Monica. While the two were able to come together and give us an unforgettable Verzuz Battle, there was a conversation that took place and allowed the women to share their feelings with one another, before the event started.
In an interview with @ebrointheam, Brandy shared that she had a really good time and the Verzuz Battle felt more like a “celebration.”
“I love hearing her music. I love hearing my music. It didn’t feel like a battle or somebody should win. It just felt like we were celebrating,” Brandy stated.
The songstress also expressed that she apologized for things she said in the past about Monica.
In part she stated, “I wanted to address her about those things {and} apologize about those things I said in the media, and then also just things that I felt that we never talked about. I felt that I needed to say all of that. And just let her know she was safe and that she didn’t have anything to worry about.”
As you know, the major event broke an Instagram record with 1.2 million viewers tuned in. The two women also led the way on the Apple Music charts, after this event.
