How I survived my first failed marriage – Funke Akindele Bello

Nollywood star, Funke Akindele Bello, has revealed how she survived her first failed marriage with her ex-husband Adeola Oloyede.

Bello went into marriage because she just wanted to get married at the time and it ended “in a very bad way”, she said in an interview with Chude Jideonwo in his show, #WithChude.

Speaking of the effect, she said that she cried, and lost some good deals then but didn’t let it break her.

She survived the period by burying herself in her work, travelling and making movies. Akindele-Bello also said that her mother encouraged her during the period.

The actress also mentioned that her friend and colleague, Eniola Badmus, was there to help her at that time.

“I channelled it to work and I was saving at that period. I remember Eniola Badmus, we were always together on set. She won’t make me feel bad as we were cracking jokes and laughing,” she said.

    Funke Akindele Bello’s marriage tale
Bello got married to Oloyede, a Lagos-based businessman, in 2012 and the marriage lasted for only 413 days as issues of abuse surrounded the union.

In 2016, however, Funke Akindele found love again and married a music star, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz.

Though JJC Skillz had children from past relationships, the couple is blessed with a set of twins.
