    PDP sweeps Oyo LG poll

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State has cleared all chairmanship seats across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state, The Nation reports Sunday.
The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission announced the results of the council poll held on Saturday, April 27.

In attendance at the announcement of the results were the commission’s chairman, Isiaka Olagunju (SAN); the state Commissioner of Police, Adebola Hamzat, among others.

However, the All Progressives Congress chapter in the state, on Saturday, demanded the cancellation of the poll.
