Peller claims the complainant in Poco Lee’s UK case dropped the matter, while Burna Boy and Rahman Jago were credited for helping secure his release.
Poco Lee was charged with two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of assault by penetration in the UK.
Some of the dancer’s close associates confirmed his release in social media posts, claiming that the complainant who took him to court had dropped the case.
One of Burna Boy’s associates also took to X to describe the allegations against Poco Lee as false, while announcing that the dancer had regained his freedom.
In another post, he credited singer Burna Boy and his colleague, Rahman Jago, for working behind the scenes to secure Poco Lee’s release.
“Poco Lee is now released. All thanks to Burna Boy and Rahman Jago for working tirelessly behind the scenes.”
Streamer and content creator, Peller, also spoke about the case during a livestream, where he claimed that the complainant had dropped the case.
“The girl who sued Poco Lee over alleged offences has abandoned the case. God bless the girl; she is a good person,” Peller stated.
Poco Lee’s reported release comes weeks after his detention in the UK over sexual offence charges.
The dancer was formally charged with five sexual offences by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, including one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The alleged offences reportedly took place in Tower Hamlets, east London, on July 23. Poco Lee first appeared before Thames Magistrates’ Court on August 18, before his case was transferred to Snaresbrook Crown Court.
The court listed September 15, 2026, for a plea and trial-preparation hearing.
Poco Lee, who travelled to the UK earlier in August for the Davido and Friends concert at Crystal Palace Bowl, had remained legally presumed innocent as the case progressed.
The latest claims about his release and the alleged withdrawal of the case have not been independently confirmed by the UK court at the time of filing.
