Very Dark Man reveals ‘website hack’ was a prank, confirms NGO funds safe

In a new twist to the story, Martins Vincent Otse, better known as Very Dark Man, has revealed that the “hacked funds” of his NGO was nothing but a deliberate prank.
Controversies appear to be never-ending from Very Dark Man’s camp.

The content creator and social media influencer, in a new video sighted on his official Instagram page, has declared that his NGO funds are safe.
The 30-year-old Kaduna-bred social media activist said that his motivation for starting a non-governmental organisation (NGO) has never been public validation.

He further expressed his disappointment with the deluge of reactions that swept timelines across various social media platforms in which people questioned his integrity and character.

VDM also became emotional during his speech and broke down into tears because he was hurt that some people went for his mother’s integrity too.

    He said,

Since the ₦180 million missed from the account, I have been seeing a lot of comments that I never expected would be thrown at me.

But I really want to thank God because everything I have done on this social media, I have done it because this is who I am.

And I want to thank God because I did not do it to seek public validation. I saw all those comments and I asked myself that ‘what is my offense’. All I do on social media is to use my platform to advocate when there is need to advocate: help people collect back their money, create awareness so that people would not be scammed.

Most of the times, I put in my money in all of these. I even borrow money….And this kind of thing happened, some people were even insulting my mother, calling my mother a thief.

We are in a country where anything that is said on the media, nobody bothers to check it. Nobody bothers to investigate it. Nobody sat down to analyse that if truly ₦180 million is missing from VDM’s NGO account, what is he going to do in Jos when the police headquarters is in Abuja?

You people ran with it. Do you think if my ₦180 million is missing, I’ll be going anywhere? Who go pay?
