    Six killed, 90-year-old woman commits suicide in Kaduna

    Some bandits have invaded two local government areas of Birnin-Gwari and Giwa of Kaduna State, killing two persons.

    Also, a 90-year-old woman was said to have committed suicide at Conan Rogo of Kajuru LGA.

    The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday.

    The commissioner said, “Security Agencies have reported the killing of two citizens in Birnin Gwari and Giwa LGAs by bandits.

    “In Birnin Gwari LGA, the bandits killed one Yusuffa Karami at Maikulu, while one Fanyo Bello was confirmed dead following gun wounds inflicted by bandits at Ungwan Maikuzunniya of Giwa LGA on Tuesday.

    “Security agencies also reported that a nonagenarian, Nabara Katoh had committed suicide by hanging herself at Gonan Rogo of Kajuru LGA.

    Meanwhile, Some bandits have invaded Goska community in the Jema’a LGA of Southern Kaduna, killing four persons, including two farmers, while a woman sustained gunshot wounds.

    Aruwan, who confirmed the incident, was silent on when it happened.

    However, the commissioner identified those killed to include Wakili Kon, Yusuf Joshua, Martha Ayuba and Lami Peter.

    According to him, Kon and Joshua were attacked on their farms by the assailants.

    He said, “Security agencies have reported a deadly attack on Goska community in Jema’a LGA.

    “According to reports, the armed bandits invaded the community and killed four residents.”

    “One woman, Laraba Silas, sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to a hospital.”
