    Yemi Solade, MC Abbey, others celebrate Charly Boy at 70

    Nigerian showbiz maestro and rights activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has received congratulatory messages from actor, Yemi Solade; comedian, MC Abbey; and other celebrities on his 70th birthday.

    The celebrant, on Sunday, took to his Instagram page to upload videos of celebrities wishing him a happy birthday.

    Solade, in his video, described Charly Boy as a young man, while stating how multi-talented the celebrant is.

    He said, “I want to celebrate Charly Boy… Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, at 70. This young man — I wonder how he is 70 now — is a singer, songwriter, television presenter, producer, and a married man.

    “Happy birthday sir and may God grant you more energetic years on Earth. Enjoy your day sir.”

    MC Abbey said, “Shout out to the father himself, Charly Boy…Happy birthday.”

    Another comedian known as Senator also sent his birthday wishes as he said, “I want to celebrate my colleague… Happy 70th birthday to you”

    Actor, Timi Kuti, said, “I just want to wish one of the heroes of our time, one of the passionate people about the continuity and emancipation of the youth, a freedom fighter, and a father to not just his own children but to many that he has inspired… I’m extremely delighted that you have lived this long to see this day.”

    Filmmaker, Akin Alabi, said, “I want to say happy birthday to the area father. More blessings, more grace, and long life for you.”
