    ‎Atiku mourns victims of Yobe boat accident

    Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic boat accident in Yobe State that claimed several lives and left many families grieving.

    ‎In a condolence message obtained from his X account on Tuesday, Atiku described the incident as heartbreaking and extended his sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones.

    ‎He said he shared in their pain during the difficult period.

    ‎“My heartfelt condolences go to the families who have lost loved ones. I share in your pain at this difficult time,” he said.


    ‎Atiku also expressed concern for the families of those still missing, offering prayers for strength, comfort, and hope as rescue efforts continue.

    ‎“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those still missing. May God grant them strength, comfort, and hope,” he added.

    ‎He commended the courage and dedication of emergency responders and volunteers involved in rescue operations, noting their efforts to save lives under challenging conditions.

    ‎The former vice president said the tragedy highlighted the urgent need to prioritise safety on inland waterways to prevent avoidable loss of lives, especially in rural communities.
