Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has postponed the scheduled state of the state address originally fixed for Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The announcement was made by Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, on Tuesday.
Uzodimma was scheduled to address Imo people at the State House of Assembly on the state of Imo, wins, challenges, and plans.
However, Emelumba announced the postponement to an undetermined date.
He said, “The state of the state address, earlier scheduled to be delivered by His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, Governor of Imo, on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, has been postponed. A new date for the ceremony shall be announced soon.
“The government regrets any inconvenience the postponement might have caused the invitees and other stakeholders,” he said.
The event is expected to be attended by representatives of all the bodies in the state, including the traditional institutions.
